Pub of the Year

CAMRA accept that it's not an exact science judging something like a pub. We all have personal preferences and idiosyncracies, but CAMRA have specified certain criteria which need to be assessed.
So what are they?

1. Community focus - Is the pub part of the local community? Does it attract a cross section of locals? Notices, games, charity events - is there evidence of a range of activities?
2. Atmosphere - difficult to expand upon as it's such a personal thing, but does it feel like a comfortable place to be?
3. Campaigning - Not just newsletters, posters etc. but does the pub try to promote cask beer and the aims and values of CAMRA?
4. Quality of beer - It's the quality that counts, not the quantity available.
5. Style and decor - Do the style and decor match the type of pub it is? Has the best use been made of the building?
6. Service & Welcome - A smile, prompt efficient service and a 'top up' if needed without having to ask.
7. Value for money - ie.value for money in relation to the area that the pub is actually in.
